What it does

Everything a renewal tracker owes you

Built for the ten seconds you actually spend in it: one glance, the right number, no dashboard to decode.

Reminders that arrive early

Local notifications on your own schedule — days before a charge, not the morning after. No push server, so they fire with the phone in flight mode.

Shared plans, both directions

Whether you pay the provider or somebody else does, RenewAja knows which way the money goes — and never shows "still owed to you" against a debt you owe.

Planned vs actually billed

Two figures, kept separate on purpose. One projects what your current library commits you to; the other reports what really left your account, month by month.

Every currency, kept apart

Totals are grouped by currency and never blended. Converting would need live rates, and RenewAja makes no network calls for your data.

Locked behind your biometrics

Optional app lock using the fingerprint, face or passcode your phone already trusts. Nothing new to remember, and no way to lock yourself out.

Backups you can open

Export a plain JSON file you own, keep it wherever you like, restore it with a preview that shows exactly what will change before anything is written.

The part most apps get wrong

A split has two directions

Treating both the same inverts every debt and inflates every total. RenewAja stores who is billed, so the numbers stay honest.

You pay the provider

The full price leaves your account and your housemates owe you their share. RenewAja tracks who has settled and totals what is still outstanding to you.

Someone else pays

Only your share was ever your money. It is what the dashboard commits, what the analytics project, and what spend history records — the provider's price was never yours.

Your subscriptions are nobody else's business

RenewAja has no backend. There is no account to create, no server to sync to, and no analytics pipeline watching what you spend. The app reads and writes a local database on your phone, and that is the whole story.

  • No account, no email. Nothing identifies you, because nothing is collected.
  • No cloud sync. Your subscription data never leaves the device unless you export it yourself.
  • No usage tracking. No crash reporting SDK, no behavioural analytics, no profiling.
  • Ads kept at arm's length. Google AdMob serves the ads and never receives your subscription data. You are asked for consent before the first ad request.
  • Deleting the app deletes the data. There is no copy anywhere else to ask us to erase.
Questions

Before you install

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no password. Open the app and start adding subscriptions.

What happens to my data if I change phones?

Export a backup file from Settings on the old phone, move the file across however you like, and restore it on the new one. The restore shows a preview with real counts — including how many records will be removed — before anything is written.

Does it work without internet?

Entirely. Every screen, every reminder and every calculation runs locally. A connection is only ever used to fetch an ad.

Can it cancel subscriptions for me?

No — and it never asks for the access that would require. RenewAja is not connected to your bank, your email or your app stores. You tell it what you are subscribed to; it makes sure you see the charge coming.

Why are the totals split by currency?

Because adding them would need live exchange rates, and the app makes no network calls for your data. A total in mixed currencies is a made-up number, so RenewAja shows one total per currency instead.

Is it available on iPhone?

Android first. The codebase is cross-platform, so an iOS build is possible later, but there is no release date to promise.

Closed beta

Try it before it lands on Play

RenewAja is in closed testing on Google Play. Leave the email address attached to your phone's Play Store and the opt-in link follows within a day or two — no charge, no account inside the app, and you keep everything you add when the public version ships.

  • It has to be a Google account. Play can only invite the address your Android device signs in with.
  • Stay in for 14 days. Play counts testers who remain opted in; leaving the programme early resets the clock for everyone.
  • Tell us what breaks. Reminders behave differently on every manufacturer's battery settings — that is exactly what the beta is for.
Helps us cover the manufacturers that treat scheduled alarms differently.

Your email is used only to send the Play opt-in link and to add you to the test track. It is deleted when the beta closes, never sold, and never used for marketing. See the privacy policy.
